Reflections and Inward Journeys

Updated: Jan 14, 2023

As we pondered when we would leave the boat and follow our hearts somewhere warm we encountered the perfect opportunity.

Dr. Joe Dispenza announced a week long intensive course opening in Cancun. We seized the opportunity and enrolled for the end of January.

Michael Singer, author of "The Untethered Soul" and "The Surrender Experiment" points out hundreds of worthwhile questions, practices and observations. Surrendering to the plans the universe has for you is often a challenge, especially so if the plan and the experience are at odds.

A few days after New Years (and great fireworks over the water) I stepped off a gangplank and onto an icy dock. Then I was airborne and flying with the greatest of ease, still holding a bag of groceries. That part was fun and lightning fast. The landing was on the abrupt side with a loud pop.

After a painful denial of anything being more than a sprain, an x-ray argued otherwise. Then the discovery process set in and within a few hours we embraced leaving the boat, heading for a specialist surgeon to repair the double break.

Again the universe pointed out the obvious that I wanted to ignore. Boarding a plane a few days after surgery and doing an active week long course started looking more foolish than healthful or expanding.

We had friends checking on the boat while we settled into land based recovery.
